In anything you attempt to do there will be those who do not believe you will succeed and will speak negatively about you or try to cast doubts in your mind. I have had similar instances where people have heard that I was leaving a prestigious university in Washington, DC to move to California to pursue my startup idea. They stated that I am too young, not experienced enough, or just flat out don't believe I'll make it. I use that negativity energy to help propel myself to continue to work and get things done.
Ways to Channel Negative Energy Into Positive Energy
The fastest and easiest way to remove negativity is to take a break from social networks. Social networks for the most part does not benefit us in anyway. Sure it allows us to connect to people who we would not usually talk to or to be updated instantly with the click of a refresh button. The negative is social networks is the first place we go to express our dislike, hate, and negative feelings to the world. Do not allow social networks to be your public journal.
Following the disconnect from social networks, begin to allocate 30 minutes a day to yourself. You may be busy but set aside 30 minutes to allow yourself time to meditate, exercise, or something that will take your mind off of the hustle and bustle of your daily life. These simple 30 minutes can allow you to release frustation that may have been building throughout the day.
Surround Yourself With Eagles
Someone great once told me that birds of a feather flock together. Whenever you are setting out to accomplish something great there will be people who don't believe in you. You need to remove this negativity from your life and surround yourself with people who have similar ideals and goals. Finding a group of eagles to soar with is better then running around with turkeys whom are forever confined to the ground. There are various entrepreneurship meetings or clubs in just about every city which can be found on sites such as Meetup.
Always remember, "Celebrate your success and stand strong when adversity hits, for when the storm clouds come in, the eagles soar while the small birds take cover."
